I couldn't continue the blog as I was not well. Luckily in this gap, I got a chance to visit Kerala. Today I will share the tour plan I have followed to explore God's own country. You can blindly follow the Kerala Tour Places 8 Days Itinerary to indulge yourself in nature's lap. Really I feel like I am in heaven, God's own country.
Kerala welcomes you with mountains, green coconut trees, streams, tea estates, and also the Arabian sea. If you want to heal your soul go to Kerala. Kerala helps you to unfold divinity. It is one of the best tourist attractions in southern India.
It is famous for its natural beauty. It is well connected with all other parts of India by air and by trains. It is easily reachable from Tamil Nadu (Chennai)by train and air.

Kerala Tour Places; Destinations In Kerala:


There are various types of destinations in Kerala. I tried to cover the Arabian sea, beaches, hill stations, palace, and museum. It is a small state in the lap of western ghats. Go through the tour itinerary to discover the natural beauty.

Day 1 :
We arrive at Cochin International Airport at night. We had a quick dinner and took a rest.
Cochin International Airport is well connected to all the major cities of India as well as abroad. It is also well connected with railways and by road to the other parts of India.


Day 2 :
After having breakfast with Dosas and Puris we left for Munnar in the early morning. Munnar is the most famous hill station in southern India. On the way, we visited tea estates, a tea museum, and Cheeyappara waterfalls. Nature lovers will fall in love with western ghats.


Green tea gardens will heal all your stress. Rest awhile in the Cheeyappara waterfalls and reached Munnar at about 3 pm. The view from the balcony was amazing. We rested for the day and eagerly were waiting to explore the beauty of the Nilgiri mountains.


Day 3 :

I generally couldn't wake up early in the morning. But that day I woke around 5 a.m in the morning. When I entered the balcony it was just an awesome view beyond my explanation. Then throughout the day, we explored the most beautiful views of Nilgiri. Munnar offers you 7 great sightseeing points to explore. Munnar comes at the top of the list of Kerala tourism best places.


Munnar-Hill station
    1. Chithirapuram which is famous for tea plantation was our first point.
    2. Echo point, The beautiful lake where you can hear the echoes of the names of your loved ones. My little daughter was delighted to hear her name by nature. The Echo point is based amidst three close mountains Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala.The picturesque lake situated in the echo point which makes the view highly captivating.
    3. Photo point where you can get a great background for your pictures.
    4. Mattupetty Dam is famous for the lake and dam which was constructed on the Mattupetty lake.
    5. Rose Garden is a beautiful park with flowers like Dahlias, Rose, Chrysanthemums, and plants like pepper, cardamom, vanilla, etc at a height of 3500 feet above sea level.

    Day 4 :
    We left Munnar after breakfast at 9 is and reached Thekkady at 3 pm. We visited a spice plantation on the way and had our lunch there. After reaching Thekkady we moved to Periyar National park straightaway.
    I had the boat ride from 3.30 pm to 5 pm. Tell your driver to arrange the tickets in advance otherwise you have to wait for one more day for the ride. Try to grab the 1st or last trip to watch animals. They are usually more visible in the early morning.
    Next, we went to the elephant camp in the evening. There we enjoyed the Kalaripayattu martial art form. It is an ancient martial art of India.
    In the elephant camp, you can watch elephants bathing, playing, and eating. You can take part in that too. Also, you can enjoy a Kathakali dance there. Two different show will give

Day 5 :
We started in the early morning at 6 am towards Alleppey. It is nearer to Trivandrum. Well connected by train and road. After breakfast, we started the journey. It takes only 4 hrs by train to reach Trivandrum from Alleppy. We had pre-booked our houseboat for a half day-long trip from 11 am to 5 pm. The arrangement was perfect.
They welcomed us with a fruit drink. The houseboat was fabulous, neat, and clean. It was a 2 bedroom houseboat. There is a huge range of houseboats available. You can choose according to your range. It may contain one-bedroom,two-bedroom, three bedrooms. It took us through the canals to the dreamy backwater surrounded by green coconut trees. The lunch they cooked was very tasty. They cooked rice, dal, two veg curries, chicken, fish fry, papad.
When I came back I was refreshed to another level and charged with positive energies. If you prefer to stay in the houseboat at night then you will be able to enjoy the sunrise in the sea. Then book the houseboat for the whole day. I left Alleppyin the evening and reached Kovalam at night at about 10 pm by train.

Day 6 :

The whole day was too relaxing only. I went to a beautiful beach and had a lot of fun. the beach offers you a great view of the Arabian sea.
Kovalam is undoubtedly one of the most popular destinations among Kerala tourism best places.
Afternoon we enjoyed the view of a lighthouse. This day was dedicated to the couple bond only.

Day 7 :

This day was packed up with the sightseeing of Trivandrum. We stayed at Kovalam and visited Trivandrum in the 1st half. We visited Padmanabhaswamy temple in the 1st half of the day.
Only saree and dhoti is allowed in the mandir. So be ready according to tradition to get an entry into the richest Indian temple. The golden Idol and pillars are beautiful. One big silver pillar also was there. Be ready to stand in a queue.

Then we visited the palace, museum, zoo and came back to Kovalam. Zoo was very big.
Lots of birds and animals were there. In the afternoon we did some shopping as the tour came near the end

Day 8 :
In the early morning, we left Trivandrum and reached Kochi at 1 pm by train. If you are a person who loves palace museums then Kochi is the destination.
Kochi is nearer to Kumily also. You can wear it also. It is also famous for backwater like Alleppey.
We visited
the beautiful Kochi including the Chinese fishing net, beach, Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, and the Jewish synagogue. Later at late night, we caught our flight.

The beautiful tour comes to an end. You also can start the tour from Kochi and end it in Trivandrum. Throughout the tour, you can enjoy nature, ayurvedic treatments, traditional art forms like Karalipayatttu, Kathakali.
I would advise you to go for an ayurvedic spa to heal your soul and body.
