Jhandi is 90 km away from Siliguri. Siliguri is well connected with other parts of India by road, air, and train. You can easily hire a cab from NJP station or Bagdogra airport. It will take only Rs 2500 to 3000. Bargain to save your pocket.

You can also reach Jhandi from New Mal Jn, Malbazar, Damdim, Gorubathan. The roadside view to Jhandi from Gorubathan is just fabulous, through lush green forests and tree plantations on both sides of the road. But the road condition is very poor.

When to Visit Jhandi

The best season to go to Jhandi is from September to April. The temperature in Jhandi from Sep to Nov and again from Feb-April is comfortable. It is in the range of 18-24℃. The Kanchanjungha is best visible from Sep to Dec in the clear sky. Take woolen clothes with you. From December to January the temperature drops down to even 7-8℃. You don't have to bother about breathing problems, the altitude is not that high.
