We went to Munnar from Cochin. Cochin is well connected with other parts of India as well as abroad by air, train, and road. After landing at the Cochin International airport we hired a cab and go straight to the hotel. The next day we visited the best tourist places in Cochin(Kochi).
The next day we started for the wonderful way to Munnar. Munnar is situated in the Idduki district of Kerala. It will take 3-4 hours to reach Munnar from Cochin.

1.Cheriyappa Waterfall
If you are planning to go to Munnar from Cochin then you will be enchanted with this beautiful waterfall. This waterfall is 42 km away from Munnar. The Cheriyappa waterfall in on Kochi-
Madurai highway ( NH 49).
You can stop here for 15-20 minutes and refresh yourself with coconut water. Otherwise, you can take a break and have some snacks. But do not forget to click awesome pictures. The water here cascades down in 7 steps.

2.Photo point
Photo Point is a popular destination situated about 3 km away from the town of Munnar on the way to Mattupetty. The surrounded place with woods, small rivulets, and the curving hill makes a heaven spot, especially for the photographers. You must take a photo with this beautiful backdrop.This place offers you the serene beauty of nature. You can spend half an hour just sitting on a bench in the lap of the jungle. Here are some local shops that offer you handmade chocolates, soaps, handicrafts, and candies. Don't forget to collect them.
3.Elephant Arrival Spot

5.Madupatty Dam
Madupatty dam is located about 11 km distant from Munnar(center of the town). The water reservoir and the dairy farm is an Indo-Swiss project. It is one of the major attractions among tourist places of Munnar.
